Situated on the western flanks of the World Heritage Blue Mountains in the historic township of Little Hartley, our secluded 200 acre property is a sanctuary for native flora and fauna, as well as humans in need of replenishment.

With a beautiful range of different environments, including rugged cliffs, verdant pastures, dense forests and natural waterways, as the yearly seasons come and go, Secret Valley offers us an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Earth’s cycles. That doesn’t mean compromising comforts, however. Our accommodation defines what cosiness and rustic luxury can be with toasty wood-fired warmth in winter to infinite starry nights in summer.

 

Secret Valley is the perfect place to get acquainted with the wonders of the community of life that resides on this unique ancient continent. Marsupials of every variety – kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, even koalas making a comeback in the forests nearby. A bird watcher's paradise, our valley also is home to water-loving life – long-neck turtles, water dragons, frogs, fish. There even have been sightings of platypus in our creek.

 

This land is part of the cherished homeland of the Gundungurra, Dharug and Wiradjuri peoples, whose ancestors settled this part of the world millenia ago. Through our work we hope to honour well the story of life that this place holds, acknowledging the dignity of the soil, stones, trees, rushing winds and flowing waters. Weaving together the dreams of past, present and future, our vision is toward a natural world of peace and a consciously sustained way of life.
