Updates Regarding COVID-19

Here are some questions our guests have been asking more recently:

Is Maya Sanctuary within Greater Sydney? When can we stay?


Our property is in regional NSW as we belong to Lithgow Council. According to NSW regulations, we are currently permitted to welcome fully vaccinated guests from Regional NSW.


Fully vaccinated Sydney-siders will be permitted to visit us after the 80% vaccination target has been reached. From 15 December, all travel restrictions in NSW are to be eased to allow unvaccinated travellers to visit our region again.

Is Maya Sanctuary COVID Safe? 


Yes! We are registered as a COVID Safe business with NSW and have QR codes in place at all accommodation. We appreciate all of our guests doing what they can do to help our community stay well during this time. 

We love the idea of a getaway, but we don't want to make any travel plans at the moment. Can we purchase a voucher to stay with you at a later date?

Is it appropriate to travel during this time? Anything we need to know about?


Please follow the recommendations of government as regulations and measures are being updated regularly regarding the situation around COVID-19. Accommodation premises such as ours have been allowed to remain open and we welcome all travellers who are permitted to travel to regional NSW. 


As to whether you should travel to stay with us, we ask that you please use your good judgement. Consider the length of your stay as longer stays may help in ensuring good physical distancing overall. And limit the amount of stops you make along the way so that you only pick up essential supplies.

Please let us know if you have any cold or flu symptoms. We recommend that if you feel unwell in any way that you stay home and postpone your booking.

How have we adjusted to the changes when it comes to cleanliness?


While we have always had measures to keep a high standard of cleanliness, we have recently reviewed our cleaning routine to ensure that our rooms and cottages are thoroughly disinfected especially during this time. For peace of mind, we ensure that there is detailed sanitizing cleaning of high-touch surfaces and increased time in between each check-out and check-in.


What if government regulations change or our booking becomes no longer feasible due to lockdown?


We are mindful of the ever-changing circumstances, and understand that travel plans may need to change. If you need to postpone your reservation for any reason, then please let us know as soon as possible so we can attempt to put your booking on hold until a more appropriate time. If a cancellation is necessary, we cannot guarantee refund. Any booking changes will need to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
